Trade process & terms
Six steps from inquiry to discharge — with the terms, documents and inspections international cement trade runs on.
From inquiry to discharge
Inquiry
Send product, standard, quantity and discharge port — by form, email or phone.
Firm offer
We confirm the plant and quote FOB, CFR or CIF with validity, usually within one business day.
Contract & L/C
Sales contract signed; buyer opens an irrevocable letter of credit at sight from a prime bank.
Production & inspection
The plant grinds and packs to your standard. SGS samples and tests before loading.
Loading & draft survey
Vessel loads at 8,000–10,000 t per day with independent draft survey and tally.
Documents & arrival
Full document set couriered via the L/C bank; we follow the cargo until discharge.
Delivery terms — Incoterms 2020
Quote the term that fits your freight position; prices firm for the stated validity.
FOB
Free On Board
Loaded and trimmed on your vessel at Hon Net, Thuan An or Chan May. You control the freight — our standard quotation.
CFR
Cost & Freight
We charter the vessel and deliver to your discharge port; you cover marine insurance.
CIF
Cost, Insurance & Freight
One price to your port, insurance included — simplest for first-time importers.
Payment & documents
Standard payment is an irrevocable letter of credit at sight. Every shipment travels with a complete negotiable document set:
- Commercial invoice & packing list
- Full set of clean on-board Bills of Lading
- Certificate of Origin (Form B / as required)
- SGS Certificate of Quality & Quantity
- Mill test certificate (plant laboratory)
- Draft survey report
Private label bags
Your brand, printed at the plant. LCCC shipments have carried dedicated buyer brands for Central American importers — artwork approved before production, brand protected to your destination.
Frequently asked questions
What is the minimum order?
One vessel — from 15,000 MT for cement and clinker. Jumbo-bag and sling-bag cargoes can combine grades in one shipment.
Which payment terms do you accept?
Irrevocable letter of credit at sight from a prime bank is standard. Established repeat buyers may combine T/T and L/C.
How long from contract to loading?
Typically 2–4 weeks after the L/C is operative, depending on grade, packing and vessel schedule.
Can you produce to our national standard?
Yes. Vietnamese plants already grind to ASTM, EN 197-1 and PNS. Send your standard and we confirm feasibility with a plant test report before contract.
Can bags carry our own brand?
Yes — private-label printing is routine. Past shipments have carried buyer brands on 42.5 kg bags for Central American markets.
Who verifies quality and quantity?
SGS Vietnam (or another agreed surveyor) samples, tests and certifies at loading; quantity is fixed by independent draft survey.
